This 35 year old female underwent a breast reduction at Sound Plastic Surgery. Many years ago, she had a breast reduction with an outside clinic. Her previous surgeon used an inferiorly based dermo-glandular pedicle, and this created sagging along her lower pole, which is a common long-term outcome with an inferior pedicle breast reduction. One of our board certified plastic surgeons performed a central mount breast reduction to preserve as much blood and nerve supply to her remaining breast tissue. She loves her new breast shape and contours! She is just 4 months post-op in these photos, and with time her scars will fade.
