We recently photographed one of our rhinoplasty patients who is just four months post-op from OPEN rhinoplasty. Her trans-columellar scar has healed so nicely that it is basically invisible. We use the open rhinoplasty technique with a trans-columellar incision because it allows for full exposure and evaluation of the nasal anatomy. Rhinoplasty is all about precision and planning to achieve good outcomes. It is obvious that the presence of a small, nearly invisible scar on the columella does not detract from the cosmetic result for open rhinoplasty patients. Talk to our board certified plastic surgeons about your rhinoplasty options in our Seattle clinic.
