Facelift
Facelift Surgeon in Seattle, WA
How is a facelift by Sound Plastic Surgery done?
Our surgeons perform all facelifts with the assistance of board certified anesthesiologists in our onsite private certified ambulatory surgery center. For most patients, a ‘twilight sleep’ anesthetic is used for maximum patient safety during a facelift procedure.
The operation takes a few hours, depending on the additional procedures being done. At Sound Plastic Surgery, we frequently use neck liposuction, fat grafting, brow lift surgery, eyelid lift surgery and laser facial resurfacing to further enhance surgical results.
What is facelift recovery like?
Immediately after surgery, the face is fitted with bandages in order to reduce swelling. Patients sometimes report some minor pain associated with surgery. Any discomfort can be treated effectively with oral medication. Patients will follow up in our Seattle area clinic the day after surgery for drain removal and then six days after surgery for suture removal. While complications are rare, patients can minimize potential problems by carefully following the directions given after the procedure. Individual results will vary, however most patients are able to attend social functions without excessive bruising or swelling at two weeks after surgery.
At Sound Plastic Surgery, our goal for every facial cosmetic surgery is a refreshed and natural look that will last for years to come.
