Most patients take about one to two weeks off from work and normal activity, though this can vary depending on whether a lift is performed at the same time. Swelling and tenderness typically improve within the first few weeks, with final results settling in over the following months.
Will my breasts sag after the implants are removed?
This depends on your skin elasticity, the size of your implants, and how long you have had them. Some women are happy with how their breasts look without implants, while others benefit from a lift, either during the removal surgery or afterward, once the tissue has had time to heal.
Is breast implant removal covered by insurance?
Coverage varies by insurer and by the reason for removal. Cases involving implant rupture, capsular contracture, or another medical complication are sometimes covered, while removal for personal preference typically is not.
