Disproportionately large and/or pendulous breasts are known to cause physical and emotional distress for many women. Breast Reduction Surgery, also known as reduction mammoplasty, was a perfect option for this patient that came to us with complaints of neck, back, and shoulder pain. While the patient is comfortable under general anesthesia, the excess fat and breast tissue is removed and the nipples are repositioned for a more natural appearance. A superio-medial pedicle was used for this patient to optimize the reshaping of her breasts. Since the surgery, her posture has improved and her pain is gone!
